Lights, camera, Atlanta! You might not realize it while you’re cruising down Peachtree or grabbing lunch on the BeltLine, but you’re walking through some of Hollywood’s biggest sets. From Marvel blockbusters to cult-favorite TV shows, Atlanta has become the place for film and TV magic — and guess what? You can explore many of these locations yourself!

So grab your sneakers, charge your phone (you’re gonna want pics), and get ready for a DIY tour of ATL’s most iconic filming spots!

📍 Start Here: Jackson Street Bridge

Seen in: The Walking Dead
Kick things off with a classic — that moody skyline shot of Rick Grimes riding into a deserted Atlanta? Yep, that was here. It’s spooky, cinematic, and the view? Chef’s kiss.

🍗 Lunch Stop: The Clermont Lounge Area

Seen in: Baby Driver
This quirky corner of Ponce was front and center in Baby Driver — fast cars, cool vibes, and that unmistakable ATL energy. While you’re in the area, grab some wings at a nearby dive and pretend you’re in a high-stakes getaway.

🏛️ Next Up: The High Museum of Art

Seen in: Black Panther
Remember that slick museum scene in Black Panther? The High Museum doubled as the “Museum of Great Britain.” Step inside and you might just feel like you’re in Wakanda (minus the vibranium).

🌳 Nature Break: Sweetwater Creek State Park

Seen in: The Hunger Games
Just outside the city, this park played a big role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The dramatic ruins and dense woods make you feel like Katniss is just around the corner. Bonus: it’s gorgeous for a hike!

🎬 Bonus Stops:

  • Peachtree Center: Seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming

  • Downtown Fairlie-Poplar District: Used for multiple Stranger Things scenes

  • Trilith Studios: While you can’t just walk in, they do offer guided tours for a reasonable price. Let us know if you’ve been!

Pro Tips for Your Tour:

  • Go during the week for fewer crowds.

  • Bring water (ATL heat doesn’t play).

  • Respect private property — selfies are cool, trespassing is not 😅.

Whether you’re a movie buff, an ATL local looking for a fresh weekend adventure, or just someone who loves a good Instagram moment, this self-guided tour is a fun way to see the city in a whole new light. ATL isn’t just where stories are filmed — it’s where stories are made.
